Larry from Quaker Oats Gets a Makeover

Did you know that the Quaker man that appears on the Quaker Oatmeal box is named Larry? According to the Wall Street Journal article the makeover includes:
– Larry’s hair will be slightly shorter
– Larry will lose five pounds from his face and chin
– The logo will not have the white background but will be red and have a band of gold below “sugesting a seal of quality”
Why the change? According to Michael Connors, “The goal is not to have anyone notice that he is different.”
